Soap Mold Shop
As of October 14, 2009 Logan Bear Candles is no longer accepting orders for Soap Molds.
Until June 2009 our custom liner-free soap molds were made of high-density polyethylene (H.D.P.E.). After experimenting with using clear acrylic to make some soap molds, I have decided to switch over from H.D.P.E. to Acrylic. The Acrylic costs almost twice as much for me to purchase than the H.D.P.E. and that is why, up until now, I haven’t offered it. The reasons I am switching over are because the Acrylic releases the soap so much easier, it is much neater to work with and will take less labor. This will also decrease my turn-around time. The one and only drawback with the Acrylic is that the molds might not be water-tight like H.D.P.E. but I guarantee they will still be able to hold a thin trace without leaking. All orders received from June 22, 2009 will be for Acrylic Molds; the H.D.P.E. Molds will no longer be available.
How to use a liner-less Acrylic Mold
Logan Bear Candles Custom Soap Molds are designed to be used without a liner. Our new Acrylic Molds do not need to be “seasoned” and do not require a mold release agent. Your soap will come out with glass-smooth sides from the very first time you use the mold.
